Italian accents on the classic parade in Thailand
Italian industry is valued around the world. Proof of this is the event which recently took place in Thailand. It was a parade of vintage cars, which ran through the streets of urban areas. Although Thailand is in Asia, most cars come from Europe. Could not miss the Italian accents - were Fiats, Alfa Romeo, even a Ferrari. But the most unique car, which participated in this event was our Polish Fiat - Fiat 125p. The car had a modern, green metallic paint. The interior has remained authentic, project from behind the iron curtain, raised great interest in Thais.
Bangasaen Thailand Speed Festival 2009 lasted 3 days, at that time, participants had a chance to acclimatize and prepare cars, which then underwent elimination. At the beginning of the event Alfa Romeo was represented by 4 models. The first is a red Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto (or I-series!). Apart from the two Giulie Coupe body, one white and one 2000 GT Junior Rosso color. Milan completed the trio of Alfa Giulia 1300 Ti Super Twin Spark engine. Cars participated in the category of the Euro Classic category.
During the parade, there are also classic antique cars that were modified at the discretion of the owners. The most interesting "Tjun" was a Fiat 132 1800 GLS with lowered suspension, aluminum wheels with black components, yellow calipers and high-profile tires. The interior has been transferred from another model, they resembled those of the Fiat 1100 of 1949, who also took part in the event and was probably the oldest car in the parade. The interior of 132 was trimmed with fine fabrics. Another interesting model was the Fiat 124 Spider 1600, with original interior, the car ideal for the Thai climate, when the parade moved without a mask.
Italian column headed Rosso Corsa, namely Ferrari 328 GTS. In addition to Italian cars, there are also several other raisins. Streamlined a number of Porsche, Toyota angular. The most distinguished are: Jaguar E-Type, Lotus Esprit, Porsche 928, 1960, "muscle car" Ford Mustang, Datsun 1600 SSS (Datsun - Nissan Sunny, the first version of the Asian market), racing Golf Mk1 Jagermeister and a few hunchbacks.
The parade was attended by over 100 cars. Parade route crossed several roads operated and managed to attract many onlookers, who applauded the participants. Spectators from the track divided metal street barrier. Start and finish were in the same place, sat in it a number of VIPs, dignitaries and famous personalities. We, the Poles, we can only look with envy, because I probably do not have events in our country classics, which is organized in such a pump. Maybe it's because for most Poles, there is no such term as classic as the cars from the 70s, is often simply a "sock".
