Alfa and Maserati will share the floor pan?
Fiat and Maserati are working on a new platform, which will be used in the Maserati Quattroporte successors, and Granturismo ... 8C Competizione successor. The new platform is to have a high content of aluminum, said the informant InsideLine. This will help to reduce weight, which hurts the current over-Maserati. The platform will certainly posterior propulsion, will be able to use new hybrid from Ferrari.
The official date of introduction of the platform is not yet known, but the Quattroporte successor must occur for 2-3 years. Alfa Romeo has used the platform for a new car and coupe kabrio. It is not known whether the car will be produced in limited quantity or serial production occurs.
