Alfa, Abarth, Maserati - one platform - three new models
YouTube interview appeared (now removed) conducted during the Barcelona Motor Show by es.autoblog. Caller is Dan Garcia - Head of Marketing Abarth Spain. Garcia agrees, in the 2013-2014 year will offer a two-seater Spider Abarth engine located centrally.
But it is not the end - the creation model of the Scorpion brand Maserati. It will also be based on the Alfa Romeo 4C , which is on the platform of the centrally placed engine. The new Maserati is likely to be a rival for the Porsche Cayman and the Lotus Evora. Garcia emphasizes with pride that this project was launched in Abarth.
Of course each of these models will differ from each of image, market position, and thus also the price.

but what then of the performance? Fork will be the fastest and then what? 4c will be 200km z1.7tb maserak probably a V6 and the Abarth? 1.4TB MA? I thought that Alfa will compete with Porsche ....

Evora and Cayman have a V6. Lotus Elise 2-Eleven are about 1.8 Turbo, and 4C:)

To this: the earlier rumors said that the Abarth 1000 will also have a 1750 TBi. The difference so far is that Alfa has a closed body, and it Abarth Spider:)

I think that will Abarcie 1.4 MultiAir Turbo 140 and 180 horses esseesse version. It's more than enough for the size and weight of the car. As for the Maserati, it is interesting how the engine throw, probably not a V8. Maybe Pentastar 3.6 V6 with power over 300 horses?

all the time in the press appears mention a 3.3 V6 Pentastar, so I do not think ultimately was different. In my opinion, if this engine will have around 300HP and 360Nm it fits for me. The new Giulia GTA does not have to accelerate to hundreds less as 5.9 s. If someone wants a rocket on wheels is always a Subaru.
